Many of our courses are tailor made and specifically designed to meet your aims and aspirations. The courses below examples of the themes that can be structured into courses.

Intro to Outdoor Climbing

Would you like to try climbing for the first time? We will look at learning new techniques and skills to safely look after each other at the crags. By using guidebooks, we'll negotiate our way around the crags and select climbs to help us to achieve our aims. We will also look at equipment and rope-work, which will lead us to develop our skills towards our objectives.

These courses can be based within the Yorkshire Dales or Lake District.

These courses are run on with a maximum ratio of 1:12

Intro to Multi-Pitch Climbing

Do you want to climb some classic multi-pitch routes? Learn new skills to climb efficiently on multi-pitch routes. There are many classic multi-pitch routes within the Lake District to hone our skills; route finding, placing protection, rope-work and constructing belays.

Guided Multi-Pitch Climbing

Do you already have some climbing experience? This course focusses more on climbing classic routes within the Lake District in a guided style. There is slightly less emphasis on instruction; enjoying the routes, positions and climbing being our main objectives.

Problem Solving and Self-Rescue

We will spend the day looking at various scenarios and learn the skills you hope never to use. This is an intensive day of learning with lots of emphasis on practise. Some multi-pitch experience would be beneficial for this course.

Learn to Lead Climb

Are you ready to take the next step? By applying the climbing knowledge you already have we can tailor a course around teaching you to lead. We will focus on placing protection, belay construction and efficient climbing movement. This is not an overnight process and consolidation is key to climbing safely outdoors. Obviously we will visit some great crags and routes that you will remember as a milestone within your climbing.

RCI Refresher and Preparation

Are you working towards your Single Pitch Award? Or would you like a refresher of the syllabus? Olly can aid your learning by covering any sections of the syllabus and help your to identify areas to focus on, to give you the best chance for a successful assessment or to feel more confident teachings groups.
